Aloha! The deaf world is indeed a small world. I know Ruth as well. James used to be my neighbour, before he moved to Essex.
I wanted to play flute at school as well, but music teacher said no and gave me a trumpet. I guess he thought I wouldn't be able to hear the flute. (Sigh)

Oh that is beautiful music!

I played the clarinet too. I was crap at it, but I enjoyed it. The thing that stopped me playing it as much was when my Dad died. He used to play his guitar along with me and it was always more fun playing with other people than playing by yourself. I can manage about a minute before my face aches and my stomach feels like I've done an hour's worth of sit-ups, lol.

Seeing this duet and hearing the sound of a classical guitar has made something inside my soul feel warm again. I hope rediscovering music with new ears makes something inside your soul burn brighter again too.

Good luck with the CI. x
